For persons looking to set up an exercise program and to lose weight, Jones said the YMCA has personal trainers who will help a member set up such a program, introduce them to the equipment at the YMCA and even pass on a few tips on nutrition.
“We talk to prospective members about their goals and, if they are interested in losing weight, tell them that a goal of about two pounds a week is the best,” she said. “Our members are entitled to three free sessions with a personal trainer.
“In the fall we have sports programs for adults and children,” she said. “For adults, we have flag football, basketball, dodgeball and volleyball.”
Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon sponsors many health and fitness classes throughout Fulton, Henry and Williams counties, according to the FCHC’s spokesman, Steve McCoy.
